A Night of Storytelling in Loughrea

Local voices share the stories and memories of Loughrea

Loughrea Library hosted A Night of Storytelling – Unheard Stories of Loughrea, bringing the community together for an evening celebrating the stories, memories and characters that form part of the town's local heritage.

The evening featured six local storytellers, each sharing their own stories and memories of Loughrea:

• Joe Loughnane

• Brian Nolan

• Pat Lawless

• Maura Kelly Stewart

The event provided an opportunity for the community to come together and hear some of the lesser-known stories of Loughrea, helping to preserve and celebrate the history and memories that make the town unique.

Loughrea Tidy Towns was delighted to see local stories and community memories being brought to life and shared with a new audience.
